About the Show
Come From Away is the critically acclaimed, award-winning musical by Irene Sankoff and David Hein based on the remarkable true story of the 7,000 airline passengers stranded in Gander, Newfoundland, after the events of September 11, 2001. As 38 planes were unexpectedly diverted to their small town, the people of Gander responded with extraordinary kindness, opening their hearts and homes to strangers from around the world. Filled with soaring music, humor, and hope, Come From Away is a powerful celebration of compassion, resilience, and the connections that unite us all.
