The WordPlayers is seeking performers for our February touring production of Althea and Angela, directed by Will Dorsey IV. This inspiring true story follows tennis champions Althea Gibson and Angela Buxton as they overcome racism, antisemitism, and discrimination to make history on the world stage.

Please prepare a one-minute contemporary monologue and be prepared for side readings. Rehearsals begin January 11 and will typically be held Monday–Friday from 6:30–9:30 PM. The production will tour Knoxville and surrounding communities throughout February.
