The WordPlayers is very grateful to the TN Arts Commission, the Arts Builds Communities Grant Program and the Arts and Culture Alliance of Greater Knoxville. Recently, The WordPlayers was awarded an ABC Grant to help fund our Black History touring production.

Children need to be exposed to the Performing Arts. What better way to do this than to take an educational play into the schools? The WordPlayers does this each year with our Black History show. This season we are producing, Walk, Don’t Ride which is a presentation in drama and song of three major events in the American Civil Rights Movement.

The WordPlayers is thankful for all support received thus far for our 2011-2012 Season. If it weren’t for public-spirited businesses like Delta-21, community-minded organizations like Cornerstone Foundation, as well as philanthropic sponsors and donors, we would not have a season.

Our lives are enriched by art and culture. I’m thankful that God put The WordPlayers in this community where there is support for the arts. We are currently seeking sponsors for our upcoming MainStage production of Leaving Iowa. We have several levels of sponsorships designed to keep the promotion of your company top of mind.

Please see the Donor page on our website for more information on how you can partner with The WordPlayers. Together we can give the gift of faith-based art to the community we share.
