The WordPlayers is searching for one African-American woman to play a line of roles (including Rosa Parks) in WALK, DON’T RIDE: A Celebration of the Fight for Equality. Terry Weber is directing. The show will rehearse evenings in January and tour schools, community colleges, churches, and other public venues during the month of February. This is a paying gig, including a rehearsal stipend and a per performance honorarium. WALK, DON’T RIDE is a one-act play with music, so preference will be given to actresses who can sing.

If you are interested, please contact Terry directly by email at or text at 865-208-7470 before the end of October. You must be available for some daytime school performances in February, as well as evening performances at other venues.
